Listen to the new Don Henley and Stevie Nicks duet It Don’t Matter To The Sun:

Don Henley’s latest album Cass County sees the Eagles frontman collaborating with a whole host of high profile guest stars. Mick Jagger, Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard and Miranda Lambert all contribute towards the singer’s first solo project in fifteen years, but you’ll have to buy a special edition that’s only on sale at US outlet Target to get your hands on his duet with Stevie Nicks.
It Don’t Matter To The Sun is one of two bonus tracks exclusive to the expanded edition of Henley’s Nashville-recorded project – the other is called Here Come Those Tears Again – and it’s an intimate and emotional ballad that sees the music icons tenderly reflecting on a seemingly irreparable relationship.

Many songs on the collection were co-written by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers drummer Stan Lynch. “He and I both have an abiding appreciation for rock & roll and country music, and the history of it. I think that’s what’s missing from a lot of records today,” says Henley who also praised the artists that took part.

I chose people that I respect musically. People whose work I respect, whose voices I like, who are all great, authentic singers who can really sing when called upon to sing.

Cass County is out now. Listen to It Don’t Matter To The Sun below.
