Martine McCutcheon returns with new single Say I’m Not Alone

Martine McCutcheon (or Tiff from Eastenders) will release her new LP Lost and Found on 11 August, and today the one time chart topping pop star premiered the record’s first single Say I’m Not Alone

The guitar and percussion driven number sees the Perfect Moment maker pleading with her lover to stand by her and she sounds good. In fact it all sounds very good. Quite mid-00s Texas or Natalie Imbruglia, and that’s not a dig. Fifteen years after the release of her last album (2002’s Musicality) and Martine’s vocals have evened out considerably. She sounds more comfortable than ever, but she’s clearly happy to still put everything out there as you can hear on the song’s catchy chorus which amps up the pop production and prevents the track from ever sounding too one-note.
