Fresh from their sold out headline show at Dalston Victoria last week, London-based five piece Junior Empire have released their self titled debut EP which covers each of their impressive singles to date and throws in a few great new ones for good measure – including the exhilarating opener I Know.
“I Know is about that moment you realise you have had the wool pulled over your eyes,” say the band in a press release. “Along with a string of admirers you have been falling for someone’s charm blissfully unaware until the moment you understand you were just part of their game.”
The track is a heat-seeking number that blends sun-kissed balearic beats and refreshing vocals with starry synths and a big pop mainframe that builds to a starry chorus, and paves the way for another new track, the spiraling, percussion-heavy Said and Done. Previous cuts, hazy LA spritzer West Coast, slow-burner Decide and the pulsing electro surging Danger complete the set which is available to stream via Spotify and download from iTunes now.
