Susanne Sundfør returns with new single Undercover

Susanne Sundfør has given us the first taster from her upcoming album Music for People In Trouble, and, if the title and first single Undercover are anything to go by, the Norwegian songstress is in full therapeutic mode.

“You’re a teasing little twister and they’re dancers in the dark,” comforts Susanne, her vocals tender and pure and probably the perfect therapy for people in trouble.

Paired with her coaxing serenade is nothing more than a stripped back piano accompaniment. It’s a reminder that, both before and beyond the blitzing electrozingers scattered throughout her 2015 pop masterpiece 10 Love Songs (Fade Away, Delirious, Kakikaze), lies the real talent of this powerful Scandi force – Susanne’s transcendent vocal clarity and resonating emotional substance.
