British electronic duo Pet Shop Boys have premiered and released the lead cut from their upcoming twelfth studio album ‘Electric’.
‘Vocal’ received its first official airplay last night on Dave Pearce’s BBC Radio 2 Dance Years show before being sent to iTunes on 3 June. It serves as as a six minute long finale on the Stuart Price-produced record which is set for release on 15 July and follows on from promotional track ‘Axis’ which was sent to iTunes last month.
‘Electric’ will be the duo’s first album to be issued under their own record label x2 via Kobalt Label services, after Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe parted ways with Parlophone after the release of last year’s ‘Elysium’ which reached #9 on the UK album chart.
