Rita Ora releases UK buzz single: ‘Roc The Life’

Rita Ora has unveiled her new single ‘Roc The Life’. The track will be released in the US as the follow up to ‘How We Do (Party)’ which peaked at #62 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year.

However it has also received a release on UK iTunes, as a buzz single for the album. Officially, ’How We Do (Party)’ will be the next official UK single, set to debut on 12 August. That will serve as the follow up to her chart-topping Tinie Tempah collaboration, ‘RIP’.

‘Roc The Life’ is therefore the third cut to be unveiled from the singer’s debut album ‘ORA’ which has seen the ‘Hot Right Now’ singer working alongside some of the world’s biggest producers including will.i.am, Drake, Stargate and Kanye West.

After the excitement of ‘How We Do (Party)’, this is a return to the more urban sound that you’d expect from a singer releasing her album through Roc Nation. Vocally though it does nothing for me, and lyrically it’s been Ke$ha-fied. But at least Ke$ha brings fun and attitude to the scene, which is distinctly lacking here.

‘Roc The Life’ is just very bland.
