Alanis Morissette: Guardian (Live on DWTS)
Last week, Alanis Morissette unveiled the lyrics video for her first single in four years, ‘Guardian’. Now, if the Canadian singer had plans to release an official music video, I’d pocket the budget and put them on the backburner.
Because last night Morissette performed the track for the first time live on ABC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’, giving an absolutely flawless rendition of the guitar pop track, alongside a stunning routine from professional dancers Blake McGrath and Tyne Stecklein.
The stunning choreography perfectly captured the protective sentiment of the track, and it’s hard to believe that Morissette wasn’t lip syncing away, so impeccable was that vocal. This actually could be the music video, so good was the performance. And she looked radiant to boot.
‘Guardian’ is taken from the singer’s seventh studio album ‘Havoc and Bright Lights’ which is due to be released on 28 August.
