Taylor Swift has premiered the official music video for the title track from her fourth studio album Red.
The mid-tempo country pop song was first released last year as the second buzz single in a promotional campaign leading up to the launch of her latest record. Such was the appetite for her new material, it reached #6 on the Billboard 100 and #26 on the UK singles chart. It has since been chosen as the record’s third official country single, and was sent to US radio on 24 June.
The video was uploaded to the 23 year old singer’s VEVO account this evening (3 July), and features footage from her American tour which kicked off in Omaha on March 13 and will end in Nashville, Tennessee on 21 September. She will then take the show to New Zealand and Australia for the second leg in November and December.
It’s the sixth official clip from the campaign overall so I am forgiving the ‘live’ thing because it must be quite tiring for the lass. She’s already filmed videos for We’re Never Ever Getting Back Together, I Knew You Were Trouble, Begin Again, 22 and Everything Has Changed and, whilst I think we all know though that it deserved proper single treatment ahead of the Ed Sheeran duet, so does All Too Well and State of Grace.
Oh, to hell with it. Let’s face it, every track on Red is pretty rad.
