WARNING: THE NEW JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE VIDEO THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO WATCH COMES WITH GRATUITOUS NIPPULAR CONTENT
Yes. Justin Timberlake has released the official music video for Tunnel Vision; the latest cut from his album The 20/20 Experience and the follow up to his magnificent chart topping hit Mirrors.
It has arrived with an ‘explicit’ warning because there are boobs and bums flying at you from every angle. You may like that kind of thing. You may not really care. If this applies to you, watch below.
The mid-tempo R&B jam boasts the same line up as ‘Mirrors’ with Timberlake, Timbaland and Jerome ‘J-Roc’ Harmon on both production and songwriting duties with James Fauntleroy also taking a co-pen credit.
What at first lyrically sounds like any other love song with JT giving it his usual patter about everything being beautiful because all he can see is his girl, soon gives way to a borderline obsession. “A million people in a crowded room, but my camera lens is only set to zoom and it all becomes so clear…” he sings before dipping in and out of a repetitive chorus built around only having tunnel vision for said lady.
Timbaland’s instantly recognisable dark, throbbing, electro-laced production and heavy beats only enhance the mood, ebbing and flowing at a pace that maintains momentum throughout the six minute duration, and allowing JT’s slick vocal to hypnotically seduce his prey in his own sweet time.
I mean, if Justin only had tunnel vision for me and wanted to express it in such a quasi-voyeuristic way, I think I’d forgive him for coming across as kinda clingy.
I don’t think I have the breasts though.
Tunnel Vision will be released in the UK on 15 July.
