Excuse my lack of linguistic accents in that headline. I did a French degree but can I type accents on capital letters on a computer? Can I heck.

That track that Celine Dion previewed and released as a single a couple of months back now has a video. ‘Parler à Mon Père’ is the first single from the singer’s forthcoming French language album ‘Sans Attendre’, due out on 5 November.

It’s still no ‘Pour Que Tu M’aimes Encore’ but I do love a woman who can woo me in French whilst holding her neck and looking cautious.

Around the same time as premiering the song, Celine announced that she’d also be releasing her first English language album since 2008’s ‘Taking Chances’ this year too.

YES. That’s right. Think about it. Has there been a Celine Dion English language album in recent time that hasn’t had a BRILLIANT BELTER OF A SONG ON IT? ‘It’s Because You Love Me’, ‘That’s The Way It Is’, ‘A New Day Has Come’, ‘Think Twice’, ‘My Heart Will Go On’, ‘Think Twice’…

‘Water and a Flame’ will reportedly feature the Canadian chanteuse duetting with Stevie Wonder on his track ‘Overjoyed’ and production from Babyface (“HOW COME? HOW LONG? IT’S NOT RIGHT, IT’S SO WRONG…”), Eg White and Ne-Yo.

And that readers, is the way it is.
