2014 has been a grand year for British singer George Ezra. The 21 year old from Hertford has seen his debut full length set Wanted On Voyage top the UK album charts, and go on to find itself at a not-too-shabby #15 ranking on the latest Official Charts countdown of the year’s biggest selling full lengthers.
Then there is its lead single Budapest – a top ten hit across the world that topped the charts in New Zealand and, after twenty six weeks on release (at the time of writing), is still yo-yo-ing about in the top half of the UK Top 40. Follow up single Blame It On Me, already a #6 UK hit, is also performing in a similarly buoyant fashion.
And now there’s a music video for another track from the album. The video for Listen to the Man premiered on Ezra’s VEVO page earlier today and this clip is quite special in that it stars one of Britain’s most loved actors, Sir Ian Mckellen. Not content with just receiving a cameo appearance, the X Men star literally steals the show and the song from the singer, leading to an entertaining sketch playing out between the two mid-way through the video.
